Was the Trojan War real?

Archaeologists since the late 19th century have unearthed layer upon layer of the city. Its destruction around 1180 BC aligns closely with 1184 BC—the year calculated by Eratosthenes, a Greek polymath who lived c. 276–194 BC. The digs are located in modern-day Hisarlık, Turkey.
