Yellow Crested Cockatoo

The critically endangered yellow crested cockatoo have a population estimated to be fewer than 2,500 with Hong Kong estimated to have about 10% of that number. We are fortunate to live near a nest of them at Welsby Court, which is where I snapped this photo. There is no need for an alarm clock with these nesting in the tree next to our bedroom.
