The Big Wait
A documentary about a one-lane emergency airstrip in Western Australia in a town called Forest (population 2) that has been used only once. A few cottages in Forest are immaculately maintained in case they are needed for stranded pilots and travelers. The documentary is well-filmed and shows enough variation in the couple's day-to-day chores and activities to keep them occupied and happy.
In addition to the seldomly used airstrip, a freight train route passes through and makes occasional stops to bring the town food to ensure emergency supplies are maintained and for the couple's consumption. I suppose mail is also dropped, which is not mentioned in the documentary.
