Jazz Trumpeter

Jazz trumpeter
I begin with a line and then another line. I have no idea where the image is going to lead. I pick colors randomly at first. Then I see an angle and a line and an oval on its end and a dimension comes to mind: the end of a cone. But what? I think brass and by this time my unconscious is probably reminding me of the trumpet lessons I took when I was in grammar school. I am really into jazz and have no idea or association with who this might be. Don Cherry? A colorful shirt, three valves on the horn and index, middle and ring fingers laying over them; then a left arm to hold the instrument up. Bursts of blue dashes encircle the talent. It's a raw, child-like effort, but I like the idea of starting from nowhere and ten minutes later finding a sort of realized subject.
